For Those About To Rock...

Guitar Hero 2 is my new obsession. I have been debating if the cheap PS2 was worth picking up just for Guitar Hero for almost a year now, but they finally made my wishes come true with the Xbox 360 version released earlier this week.
For anyone who is not familiar, GH2 is a rhythm game like DDR. The difference is instead of flailing around like an idiot, you use a great custom guitar controller and actually strum (ok, toggle) to the music. It even has a whammy bar. Sweet.

I have to say I wish the guitar was not the goofy shape and more like the PS2 version, but I'll survive.
I'm surprised how much actually guitar playing helps in the later levels. Early on there are so few button presses required for a lot of notes you feel a bit disconnected. Once you get into the hard mode you are directly playing the notes more. With the hammer-on and pull-offs it really does feel like playing some of the songs.
Now I need another guitar (and someone to play this with).
